 HOPE
Easter, Day 49

Today is the last day of 2016 National Hospital Week (May 8-14).  A celebration of hospital week began in Chicago in 1921 and was suggested by a magazine editor who hoped that a public celebration of hospitals would alleviate public fears of them.   Today, the celebration of this event is the largest health care event affirming the history, technology and dedicated professionals that make our facilities places of confidence, care and healing.

National Hospital Week celebrates hospitals and the men and women who, day in and day out, support the health of their communities through compassionate care, constant innovation and unwavering, unmatched dedication.

Thanks to all of the dedicated individuals – physicians, nurses, therapists, engineers, food service workers, volunteers, administrators and so many more – for their commitment.

The theme this year has been “Health Care from the Heart,.”  affirming that “
“A hospital is more than a place where people go to heal, it is a part of the community that fosters health and represents hope.
From providing treatment and comfort to the sick, to everyday lab and radiology needs, hospitals are central to a healthy and optimistic community.”
Presence Health  intends to witness to the  Presence of Christ as the Guiding light of health and healing in these changing times.
Our Core values are H-honesty    O- oneness  P-people   E-excellence---which translates into HOPE

This is the next to the last day of the Easter season for this year.  During these 50 days, we have renewed our FAITH, strengthened our HOPE and exercised our LOVE. We hope that our Catholic health care ministry will continue to be a faithful witness to Christ in our day and age and be an impetus for hope of healing for all those we serve and all who serve under the name of Presence Health.
